Sweet Katherine was born 13 weeks early at 2.2 lbs. and has faced numerous life-threatening issues since birth. As a result of being born so premature, Katherine has a range of medical problems, some mild, others very severe, including congenital heart disease. Almost immediately, Katherine was fitted to tubes and machines vital to her survival. In her short 2 years of life, Katherine has undergone multiple surgeries, including open heart. She will continue to need complex procedures to correct her additional medical issues.
At the time of this writing, Katherine and her family live at the Ronald McDonald House, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as she attends five to six appointments a week. Although Katherine’s family still receives some income, it does not adequately meet their basic needs in addition to the medical expenses they are facing. Blessity is seeking financial assistance to help them keep up with their mortgage and utilities while they provide support for Katherine at Children’s Hospital.
”This is a really sweet family from Journey. They could really use any help that comes in. They have had one road block after another with their little one. A ton of medical care.” – Journey Church staff, Kenosha, WI
